Search underway for missing child believed to have been abducted

FLORENCE, SC (WPDE) — The Florence Police Department is working with SLED and other agencies to search for a missing child who was reportedly abducted Thursday afternoon, according to Capt. Stephen Starling of the Florence Police Department.

Captain Starling stated that the child is believed to have been abducted by Macie Eaddy.

Eaddy is believed to be driving a white Mitsubishi Lancer with a South Carolina temporary plate, XWR0804H.

The last confirmed sighting of Eaddy and the child was Thursday afternoon at Rose’s on South Irby Street. Authorities believe they may no longer be in the area.

Anyone with information about the suspect, the vehicle or the child is urged to contact the Florence Police Department or call 911 immediately.
