Ticketmaster helps bring London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks to life

The Mayor of London’s New Year’s Eve is one of the world’s most iconic celebrations, lighting up the city’s skyline as millions watch on TV and thousands gather along the River Thames. This year’s event was brought to life by Identity working closely with Ticketmaster and an incredible network of partners.

Delivering an event of this scale requires teamwork, precision and passion:

  • 101 production and operating personnel worked tirelessly on the land.
  • Over 3,300 security and steward staff ensured a safe and smooth experience for everyone.
  • Planning and collaboration spanned 41 agencies and stakeholders.
  • 8 entries and 6 ticket reservations welcomed all around 100,000 participants to the heart of London.
  • 31 dedicated Ticketmaster staff on the ground.

For the first time in the UK, colour-coded tickets were used to help direct participants to their designated zones. This system improved operations and helped fans navigate the event more easily and enjoy a smoother experience overall.

Alex Berti, VP of Client Development at Ticketmaster, said: “It’s been a pleasure working with Identity from planning to sales, and all the way through to providing a team of 31 Ticketmaster staff on the night. What a great way to bring in the new year!”

This unforgettable celebration was made possible by a number of talented show partners including Titanium Fireworks, On the Sly (Music) and Tim Routledge (Lighting).

Hannah Clark, Project Director at Identity, said: “Identity is proud to work closely with Ticketmaster to bring this famous spectacle to life for almost 100,000 people”.

“The Mayor of London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display has become an iconic and globally recognized event that reflects our unique and wonderfully vibrant city. It is a unique showcase that puts London firmly on the map for the coming year.”
