Another major corporate change has effectively left DEI initiatives behind. It began when the Supreme Court ruled on the 2023 diversity program, but “the trickle became a flood” after Trump’s election victory, with companies like Harley Davidson, Ford, Molson Coors, Walmart and McDonalds scaling back on their corporate diversity commitments, according to Financial Times.

“They don’t want to be caught out promising and not delivering,” Richard Edelman, managing director of PR group Edelman, told the newspaper. “Companies are still committed to diversity and they’re committed to inclusion, they just don’t want to guarantee results.”

Silicon Valley is also apparently all in on Trump’s upcoming presidency, with Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos scheduled to attend the forty-seventh president’s inauguration next week along with his cabinet picks, according to NBC News.
