3 disturbances to affect the local area to varying degrees

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – DISTURBANCE 1: We are tracking another low pressure system from the Gulf tomorrow at Scattered light showers will be possible with this system as it moves out into the central Gulf of Mexico late Wednesday. Rainfall amounts will be very manageable with most receiving less than 0.10″. Temperatures do not change when this disturbance passes.

3 different disturbances will produce very different weather results(WAFB)

A storm system and cold front will move through the local area Saturday. The front looks set to arrive Saturday morning, bringing a chance of rain and a few isolated thunderstorms. We do not expect severe weather to be a problem. Some pockets of heavy rain may result in rainfall amounts of 1-2″.

2nd disturbance will bring more widespread rain, but still manageable conditions(WAFB)

But even that should be manageable for most people. The rain starts to disappear on Saturday at The cold air behind the front will be slightly delayed and will begin to move in during the evening. An arctic blast will be behind this cold front, dropping temperatures significantly.

Another low pressure area moving through the Gulf of Mexico looks possible Tuesday/Wednesday next week. This low can time its arrival perfectly with the bitterly cold arctic air.

3rd disturbance could bring winter precipitation(WAFB)

A chance for wintry precipitation is possible as it stands right now. As it is 7 days out, forecast confidence remains very low. At this point we recognize the potential weather pattern that could take place. If the pattern continues to show strong indications, we will begin to highlight precipitation type and accumulation amounts as we get closer.
