Elon Musk finally admits to having ‘Path Of Exile 2’ account increase in DMs

The saga of Elon Musk secretly boosting Diablo 4 and/or Path of Exile 2 characters may be over as he has outright admitted to doing so, along with possibly using Real Money Trading for gear.

In a new video that goes straight over DMs with Elon Musk, YouTuber NikoWrex said he was given permission to share what he said about his playing ability, or lack thereof. The video, heavily downvoted for its subservience to Elon’s tactics, goes over the following:

Nico: “Have you ever leveled up (had someone else play on your accounts) and/or bought gear/resources for PoE2 and Diablo 4?”.

Musk: “(100 Emoji) It’s impossible to beat players in Asia if you don’t.”

Nico: “Regarding Poe2, was it your intention to take full credit for leveling your HC (hardcore) grades?”

Musk: “No, never claimed that. The best accounts in Diablo or PoE require multiple people playing the account to win a leveling race.”

Musk continues to say on his streams that at least he’s the one playing, but admits that with say, a monk as powerful as his was, high-level games like “Cookie Clicker” (with a similar monk can I confirm that). He is also asked if he would “apologise to the Poe2 community”, to which he replies “What would I apologize for?”

So I mean this confirms what we basically already knew considering it was close to impossible to get his grades and rank that high without someone boosting him or buying top gear. He says everyone does and that he wasn’t trying to take credit, but he’s clearly positioned himself as projecting that he’s one of the best players in the world with those grades.

It’s just been a strange situation that one of the most powerful people in the world cares enough to act like a top ranked gamer to pay for boosting and gear and show those characters off to millions on stream. When asked if he wanted to do a stream with actually top PoE2 creators he said he would be busy preparing for the presidential transition and emphasized how bizarre it all is.

Will I stop covering Elon Musk’s gambling habits from here? At least until something else absurd happens, like yes, I think it’s relevant to the industry that one of the most powerful people in the world is a gamer and apparently lies or misleads people about his prowess. My guess is that more weird situations like this will follow, whether he gets busy running the US with Trump or not.
