A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after an alleged assault with a hammer at a school.
Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called to Redhill Academy, in Arnold, following reports that a pupil had been hit with a hammer at around 6pm. 09:45 GMT Monday.
The boy was taken to hospital for treatment for head injuries, which are not believed to be life-changing, police added.
A 15-year-old was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon and was remanded in custody.
