Draymond Green out, Steph Curry questionable for Warriors vs. Celtics

The Golden State Warriors, who are currently on a two-game winning streak — a rare thing these days — have quite a challenge ahead of them. The Dubs host the 29-13 Boston Celticswith a chance to prove they are turning a corner. It certainly won’t be easy against the defending champions, and it will be made less so by the fact that the Warriors are missing some key players.

Here’s the full injury report for the match, which kicks off at 2:00 PM PT on TNT.

Warriors

Out — Draymond Green (left calf strain)

Just a tough break for the team and the player. Green missed three games with a back injury and an illness, but returned for Saturday’s win against Washington Wizards. Just three minutes in, Green hurt his calf and missed the rest of the game. It sure would be nice to see him defend Jayson Tatum this afternoon.

Out – Jonathan Kuminga (right ankle sprain)

We’re past the two-week mark of Kuminga’s injury, with the original timetable of at least three weeks. Hopefully a return isn’t too far off!

Out – Brandin Podziemski (treatment of right abdominal injury)

It will be 11 games in a row on the sidelines for Podziemski. I miss him!

Out – Kyle Anderson (left gluteal bursitis)

There’s no doubt that Anderson’s absence hurts more when Green is out as well.

Questionable — Steph Curry (left ankle sprain)

And here’s the big one. With about a minute left in Saturday’s game, Curry tangled with former teammate Jordan Poole and rolled his ankle. He signaled he was okay but limped to the locker room. Needless to say, the Dubs chances are very dependent on Curry being able to play in this matchup. According to the Bay Area News Group reporter Danny EmermanCurry is expected to play.

Celtics

The Celtics have no players listed on their injury report aside from their trio of two-way contracts (JD Davison, Drew Peterson and Anton Watson) who are all currently in the G League.

Enjoy the action, Dub Nation!
