Chicago weather forecast

Dangerously cold wind chill rules this day. We start with an extreme cold warning for our northwestern counties through the morning hours, where wind chills can be as cold as -30 degrees. The rest of the day will still be extremely cold with high temperatures barely above zero despite some sunshine. There are spotty showers at the time of this writing.

Wind chills all day long will be well below zero. The cold will not be quite as severe tonight with temperatures holding fairly steady just below zero.

Future outlook

Thursday: It will warm up a bit and we may reach the upper 20s. There may be some patchy snow showers, especially in the morning, but again nothing significant.
