Publix announces opening date for first Lexington location

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Publix has announced the opening date for its first Lexington location.

Publix at Citation Point, located at 1952 Stockton Way, will open Wednesday, March 5 at

The supermarket will have an adjacent Publix Liquors that will offer beer, wine and spirits.

The grocery chain is currently holding hiring events for the new location.

Publix locations are also planned at Man o’ War and Harrodsburg Roads and Romany and Duke Roads. Opening dates for these locations have not been announced.
