Interstate schools announce closings, delays amid frigid cold

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) — As the cold temperatures set in, some schools across the Midstate have announced closings and delays.

Extreme, dangerous cold moves into the Midstate and lasts through the end of the week.

Below is a look at schools that have announced so far:

Monday night won’t be as cold, but temperatures will still drop into the teens across most of the Midstate with some higher highs near the single digits again. Wind chill values ​​will still be near the single digits Tuesday morning.

It is expected to remain very cold Tuesday afternoon with temperatures once again stalling in the low to mid 20s with a wind chill in the teens for most of the day.

There will be more cloud cover mixing in on Tuesday, and don’t be surprised if you see a few flakes flying by as well.
