McDonalds offers Pokemon-themed Happy Meals, card set

Pokemon fans on the hunt for the elusive Charizard card or the uber-rare Colossal VMAX card could be a Happy Meal away from getting one of 15 limited-edition trading cards.

While there’s no guarantee that Pokémon fans will pull both cards, the collaboration with McDonald’s produces four new Pokémon-themed Happy Meals that each come with four exclusive Pokémon trading cards.

Here’s how to catch them all.

Pokémon-themed Happy Meals feature Charizard, Aragonite and Pikachu

Pokémon-themed Happy Meals from McDonald’s feature one of four designs: a group photo of Charizard, Pikachu and Dragonite together; Rayquaza; and Roaring Moon.

According to one McDonald’s press releaseeach Pokemon-themed Happy Meal will have a different set of four exclusive trading cards from a collection of 15 limited Pokemon cards.

Aside from the booster pack card set, each Pokemon themed Happy Meal will also include a Pokemon poster and sticker sheet.

How can I get Pokémon Happy Meals?

McDonald’s locations are now stocked with Pokémon-themed Happy Meals, but ordering through the McDonald’s mobile app unlocks more Pokémon-related goodness.

“Every Happy Meal purchase made through McDonald’s app unlocks an in-game bonus at no cost to Pokemon TCG Pocket App,” read part of McDonald’s press release. “Fans will receive a one-time redeemable code to unlock 24 Hourglasses and 12 Wonder Hourglasses, which can be used to open two digital booster packs and select one randomized digital card as part of Wonder Pick feature.”

And hardcore Pokémon GO players can visit their local McDonald’s locations during the weeks of January 20 – January 26, February 10 – February 16, and March 10 – March 16 to meet Pokémon attracted to active lures and participate in five – star attack on McDonald’s Gyms.
