Even if you haven’t read Fourth wingthe busy, viral romance novel by Rebecca Yarrosprobably you have heard about it. The first entry in the author’s Empyrean series took the literary world by storm when it was released in 2023, enchanting readers with dragon riders, steamy scenes and high-stakes drama. After the sequel, Iron flamereaders have eagerly awaited the third book in the series, Onyx Stormwhich is now on the shelves.

Although Yarrow is perhaps best known for his trio of the romance novels, she has an impressive catalog beyond the series that brought her mainstream recognition—and notoriety. Many of her other titles are also romances, often exploring similar themes of grief, love and family.

Yarros is on the verge of dominating screens as well. In the probable eventher 2023 romance book, will be adapted into a series on Netflix. And with the Empyrean series continuing to grow in popularity, Fourth wing is also set to become a TV show on Prime Video, though details about the adaptation remain minimal at the moment. If her success on screen is anything like her success on the page, we’ll be seeing a lot more of Yarros in the future.
