Some school districts, including San Antonio ISD, will remain closed Wednesday

SAN ANTONIO – School districts in Bexar County and surrounding areas have canceled classes for Tuesday, but others are making additional changes for Wednesday due to winter weather.

Below is a list of school districts canceling, delaying or returning to classes on Wednesday.

  • Alamo Heights ISD: All campuses and offices will reopen and operate on normal schedules on Wednesday, January 22.

  • Blanco ISD: All classes will be on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, Jan. 22, district officials said.

  • Boerne ISD: The district said all schools and offices will open on time Wednesday, Jan. 22. BISD’s regular January board meeting for Tuesday will be postponed until Monday, January 27.

  • Carrizo Springs CISD: All campuses and offices will return to normal operations on Wednesday, January 22. Due to Tuesday’s wintry weather, a weather make-up day is scheduled for April 21.

  • Comal ISD: Wednesday, Jan. 22, will be a normal school day, the district said.

  • Cotulla ISD: The campus will have a two-hour delayed start on Wednesday, January 22. All campuses report times for Wednesday can be found here.
  • Crystal City ISD: Classes resume on Wednesday 22 January at 9. Buses run on a one-hour late schedule. The staff development day, planned for 20 February, will now be a full teaching day for both staff and pupils.

  • D’Hani’s ISD: Classes will resume Wednesday, January 22.
  • East Central ISD: Classes resume on Wednesday 22 January.

  • Falls City ISD: Schools will start at their regular time on Wednesday, Jan. 22, the district said.

  • Fort Sam Houston ISD: Schools will be in normal session on Wednesday, January 22.

  • Goliad ISD: All classes are canceled on Wednesday 22 January.

  • Gonzales ISD: Classes throughout the district are delayed two hours on Wednesday, Jan. 22, the district said Facebook.
  • Harlandale ISD: The district said it will resume normal operations on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

  • Jubilee Academies Charter School: Classes are canceled on Tuesday.

  • Judson ISD: All schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday 21 January. All after school events and activities will be canceled or rescheduled.

  • Kennedy ISD: All schools will be closed on Tuesday 21st January due to severe weather conditions.

  • Kerrville ISD: All schools and activities are canceled on Tuesday 21 January.

  • La Vernia ISD: All schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday 21 January. Leisure activities are also cancelled. The district said it will resume classes on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

  • Medina Valley ISD: Campuses and district offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 21.

  • New Braunfels ISD: All schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday 21 January. Extracurricular events have also been cancelled.

  • Pearsall ISD: All classes have been canceled on Tuesday, January 21. School is scheduled to resume on Wednesday, January 22 at 10:00 a.m

  • Pleasanton ISD: All Pleasanton ISD schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday 21 January. All before and after school activities are also cancelled. Due to the closure, the February 17 holiday will now be a regular school day.
  • Randolph Field ISD: Classes and extracurricular activities have been canceled on Tuesday, January 21.

  • Sabinal ISD: The lessons have been canceled on Tuesday 21 January. There will be a delayed start on Wednesday 22 January at 10. There is an early release on Thursday 23 January and a student holiday on Friday 24 January.

  • San Antonio ISD: The district said its schools will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 22. All central office, district and essential staff will report to work on Wednesday at their normal scheduled times.

  • San Marcos CISD: All campuses and offices will be closed on January 21. The closure affects all after school/UIL events.

  • Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD: All schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday 21 January. All games and activities will also be canceled or rescheduled.

  • Seguin ISD: All schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday 21 January. Tuesday’s board meeting will be postponed until Thursday 23 January. The district said it will have normal operations on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

  • South San Antonio ISD: All campuses will be closed on Tuesday, January 21.

  • Southside ISD: All classes have been canceled on Tuesday, January 21. The district will resume classes and operations on Wednesday, January 22.

  • Stockdale ISD: All classes and activities are canceled on Tuesday 21 January.

  • Yorktown ISD: The district said Monday that its decision to close all schools on Jan. 21 was made to allow families and staff to make necessary arrangements. Facebook post said.
  • Essence Preparatory Public School: The Essence Preparatory campus and office will be closed on Tuesday, January 21st.

  • George Gervin Academy: All schools and facilities will be closed on Tuesday 21 January.

  • Great Hearts San Antonio: The campuses will be closed and all activities canceled on Tuesday 21 January.

  • IDEA schools: All IDEA San Antonio schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21st.

  • Lighthouse Public Schools: The schools will be closed on Tuesday 21 January. Classes resume on Wednesday.

  • New Frontiers Public Schools: All campuses will be closed on Tuesday, January 21.

  • Parent/Child Incorporated Head Start/Early Head Start Early Learning Center: All centers and administrative offices will be open at their regular hours on Wednesday, January 22.

  • Positive Solutions Charter School: The school will be closed on Tuesday 21 January due to expected winter weather.

  • Pre-K 4 SA and Gardendale Early Learning Program: All Pre-K 4 SA centers and the Gardendale Early Learning Program will be closed on Tuesday, January 21st.

  • SST public charter schools in San Antonio and Schertz will resume their normal schedules on Wednesday, January 22.

  • Concordia Lutheran School and Childcare Center: The school and kindergarten will be closed on Tuesday 21 January. All leisure activities are also cancelled.

  • Cornerstone Christian Schools: All classes and activities are canceled on Tuesday 21 January.

  • Keystone School: Keystone School will close on Tuesday, January 21. The school said it will have regular school hours on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

  • San Antonio Academy: All classes, after-schools and games are canceled on Tuesday 21 January. The school will open again on Wednesday 22 January.

  • San Marcos Academy: All classes are canceled on January 21.

  • Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran School and Childcare: The school will be closed on Tuesday 21 January.

  • Sunshine Cottage: The lessons have been canceled on Tuesday 21 January.

  • Winston School San Antonio: Winston School will be closed on Tuesday 21 January.

  • Alamo Colleges District: All Alamo Colleges District classes have been canceled for Tuesday, January 21st. Alamo Colleges District employees will work remotely.

  • Texas A&M University-San Antonio: All universities, classes, events and activities – including campus – will be closed on Tuesday 21 January. The school said it expects to resume classes on Jan. 22.
  • Texas State Technical College (New Braunfels): Campus in New Braunfels said is closed on Tuesday 21 January. Online teaching continues as planned. Employees will work remotely. Classes and operations are expected to fully resume on Wednesday, January 22.
