Schools are reporting delays due to inclement weather on Tuesday, January 21

Due to expected cold temperatures throughout the morning, some school systems and private schools in the area have announced two-hour delays for school starts and closings on Tuesday, January 21st.

Harford County Public Schools and Howard County Public Schools are closed due to icy road conditions.

  • Carroll County Public Schools
  • Cecil County Public Schools
  • Chapelgate Christian Academy
  • Frederick County Public Schools
  • Gerstell Academy
  • Glenelg Country School
  • Grace Classical Academy
  • Liberty Christian School
  • Maryland School for the Deaf (Columbia)
  • Montgomery County Public Schools
  • North Carroll Community School
  • Our Lady of Mt. Carmel
  • Prince George’s County Public Schools
  • Rock Church Academy
  • Talbot County Public Schools

Queen Anne’s County public schools will be closed under a Code Blue protocol.

Garrett County Public Schools announced that they will be holding Synchronous Virtual Learning Days (live online) on both Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday, January 22nd.

Coppin State University, Harford Community College and Towson University (Northeast Campus) open at

Bowie State University will be closed “due to unforeseen circumstances during a scheduled power outage.”
