Rep. Mike Turner should pull a Marjorie Taylor Greene on the GOP

As a Republican in Rep. Mike Turner’s district I’m pretty upset about Speaker Mike Johnson’s decision to embarrass a fellow Republican who has faithfully served the House, his district, and the Republican Party.

I would encourage Turner and a few other Republican members to band together and do exactly what Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and a small number of others did over the past two years – don’t allow bills to come up for a full House vote. It’s karma time.

right now, House Republicans have only one seat more than the minimum needed to pass legislation. While a few more Republicans will be sworn into the House, it only takes a few Republicans to take a piece from Greene’s playbook and become holders of the real power to advance bills in the House.
