Snow showers possible Tuesday as bitter cold sets in

A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 Thursday for Washington, DC and parts of Maryland and northern Virginia as a blast of arctic air settles into the region. Bitterly cold wind chills between zero and 10 degrees below are expected. FOX 5’s Taylor Grenda says there is a risk of showers on Tuesday and a slight chance of snow showers before midnight.

Sunday night’s snowfall, combined with freezing conditions, continues to disrupt commutes to schools throughout the DC region.

Officials report many roads remain icy and dangerous Tuesday night, prompting schools to announce delays and closings Wednesday morning.
