Arizonan wins $112M lottery jackpot on ticket ordered via app

A record Mega Millions lottery jackpot has an Arizona resident nearly $100 million richer to start 2025.

The winning ticket, now worth $112 million, was ordered through Jackpocket app, which was launched in Arizona in 2023.

The ticket, purchased online, is the largest lottery jackpot won from a ticket ordered through the Jackpocket app and is the 61st ticket to pay a jackpot of more than $1 million.

“We are thrilled that an Arizona Lottery player won the first Mega Millions jackpot of the year and grateful to our network of 3,500+ dealers,” said Alec Thomson, CEO of the Arizona Lottery in a press release. “Through their efforts, the Arizona Lottery can fund vital programs and services that benefit communities throughout the state.”
