Domino’s pizza delivery driver who has been missing for a week has died after an incident in St. Paul.

Disappeared during his Domino’s shift

The backstory:

Shuefaub Xiong disappeared on January 14th after showing up for work in Apple Valley and going out to make a delivery. Xiong was scheduled to deliver four pizzas, but never delivered the food or returned to work or home.

Police issued an alert later that week and family members organized search parties to look for Xiong.

On Monday, police said they discovered Xiong’s Toyota Camry in Superior, Wis. They had also learned that Xiong had been seen near the vehicle on Saturday afternoon, and later that evening he had met with an acquaintance in Roseville.

Police said they feared he was suffering from a mental health problem.

What we know:

St. Paul police said they responded to the 1100 block of Rice Street Tuesday afternoon on a report from Xiong’s brother who said Xiong was there suffering from mental health issues.

Police say Xiong threatened to take his own life, and family members who were able to get out of the house safely said Xiong had access to a gun in the home.

Officers tried to make contact with Xiong, but ultimately police say he ran from the home and turned the gun on himself. Despite attempts to revive him, Xiong was pronounced dead at the scene.
