The Jags are reportedly ‘sedated’ coaches don’t want to work with Trent Baalke, which is exactly why the Jags are a terrible franchise

There are just some franchises that will always be a losing franchise. The Jags feel they are in that camp. Liam Coen (Kentucky) turned them down. By all accounts, it seemed like it was basically Coen’s job if he wanted it. All the last few days have had him attached to it, all that. But now he’s turning it down to stay on as offensive coordinator, and apparently the Jags are stunned. Hmm, if only there was something they could have done:

No idea why Trent Baalke is still the GM. I’m far from a Jags fan, but pretty much every person who watches football says this. You fired Pederson but you kept the GM who doesn’t make anything happen? Sure. It always goes well in a coaching search. Why not just renew the whole thing? Instead, you get laughed at because you get reports that coaches don’t want to work with Baalke and you’re stuck with him.

I would love, and I mean I would love, to have a camera inside Jag’s offices this morning. Need to see the reaction from Khan and the rest of the guys there when these reports come out. You can’t even hide it. You were on video saying you would fire the guy if a coach gave you a good reason. It’s one of the crazier things from this offseason. You decided to keep Baalke, but also want to fire him if necessary. Nothing like the Jags man.
