UEFA Champions League update as City blow a two-goal lead to drop out of the play-off places

MAN CITY GOT TWO-GOAL LEAD TO LEAVE GUARDIOLA’S SIDE IN DANGER OF ELIMINATION

Manchester City crashed out of the UEFA Champions League play-off places when they threw away a two-goal lead in a thrilling 4-2 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes.

The visitors hit two goals in the space of three second-half minutes to take control through substitutes Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland.

PSG hit back through substitute Ousmane Dembele and the impressive Bradley Barcola as the game went wild with four goals in 11 minutes.

The hosts had their tails up and always looked more likely to win it, with Joao Neves completing the turnaround with a header wide after 12 minutes from time.

Substitute Goncalo Ramos rounded off a decisive win for PSG deep into stoppage time after a prolonged VAR check as the French side moved above City into 22nd place – just inside the playoff places – with 10 points from seven games.

The Citizens are two points further back and currently sit in the elimination places in 25th place.

Next up, Manchester City take on Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday night, before facing a must-win clash at home to Club Brugge on Wednesday.

PSG are at home to Reims in Ligue 1 on Saturday before finishing the UCL league stage with a crucial meeting in 24th-placed Stuttgart.
