A pair of Wolves fans learned exactly why you have to be certified insane to tweet at Steph Curry

When the NBA season started, when thinking about a GS/MIN matchup, I imagine many thought it would be a matchup between two Western Conference contenders. Unfortunately, that wasn’t quite what we had last night as both teams are fighting for their lives to get out of the Play In.

The beauty of the NBA though is that you can still have a wildly entertaining game between two Play In teams. The star power was there, the drama was there, and by the end of it we were reminded of a very good lesson both in basketball and in life.

You have to be certified insane to tweet Steph Curry.

This is true at any point of a 48 minute match, but especially late in a close match. It’s a death wish. We’ve known that for years after countless and countless Steph Daggers. At home, on the road, it doesn’t matter. I would go so far as to say he is the #1 player in the league right now that you should never, ever, ever even consider tweeting. I don’t care how much you love your favorite team or how much you think it will affect him. It isn’t. In reality, he will do what he always does and rip your heart out.

Our latest example came at the end of their win last night in MIN. Sure, the Warriors blew their 25-point lead, but when it came time for someone to make a dagger, guess who made it?

And wouldn’t you know, he was as ruthless as ever

How can you say you’ve seen Steph do this shit a million times on TV and also think it’s a good idea to sit by the yard and chirp at him? You should know better! We have a mountain of evidence that tells you this is the worst thing you can do as a fan. You ask him to do a dagger three right in your eyeball and then wiggle/celebrate/go night right in your face. This is what makes Steph Curry who he is!

It also didn’t help that Ant missed his chance to win 3, but that’s because he’s not Steph. Once Steph hits the dagger on you, that’s it. The Warriors always find a way to win. This time it was because both Naz Reid and Rudy Gobert couldn’t get a rebound on a missed FT after that shot. The point is, the tweet clearly didn’t work

and maybe it’s just me speaking from experience as someone who’s also had his heart repeatedly ripped out via steph curry daggers, but you’d have to be legitimately insane to go the chirping route with him. He is NOT mentally soft. You don’t break Steph Curry, he breaks you. I become a fan of your team and want to do your part to help them win, that’s normal.

It’s just that when Steph Curry is involved in this equation, your move is to shut up and not poke the bear. The more you chirp, the more powerful he becomes, resulting in such shots. Now you’re going viral for all the wrong reasons.

My guess? The two learned their lesson. Sometimes in life you need to learn things the hard way. You have to fuck to realize that you are fucked. Is this guy tweeting? Yes, that qualifies as fucking
