First Aid Beauty facial moisturizer recalled nationwide due to FDA safety concerns

First Aid Beauty has voluntarily issued a nationwide recall for its popular facial moisturizer, with the recall receiving a Class II risk classification from the FDA.

Beauty product recalls are not as frequent as those for prescription drugs or foods, but they can still pose health or safety risks to consumers.

On December 23, the company recalled 2,756 jars of Ultra Repair Cream due to a violation of applicable Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.

According to the FDA, the recall was triggered by the accidental distribution of a product intended for quarantine.

The FDA defines a recall as the removal or correction of a product that violates their regulations and will lead to legal action if not corrected.

The agency classified the recall as a Class II risk, indicating potential temporary or medically reversible health consequences but low chances of serious harm.

First Aid Beauty’s products are very popular, especially on social media, where the affected items are distributed across the country.

The recalled products have lot numbers 24D44 and 24D45 and expiration dates of April 10 and 11, 2026.

Other recent product recalls include red dot problems on firearms and several food products, such as contaminated barbecue sauce and yogurt.

The FDA advises cosmetic companies to implement corrective actions to prevent future violations, such as understanding why the violation occurred and ensuring it does not happen again.

Consumers with the affected products are encouraged to check the batch codes and visit the FDA website for more details or contact the distributor directly.
