What former President Joe Biden told Donald Trump in a farewell letter

Joe Biden had a swan song for the president Donald Trump.

Days after the 47th president took office, Trump revealed to reporters at the White House that his predecessor Biden left a “very nice letter.”

Trump found the token — a tradition in which presidents leave letters to their successors inside the Oval Office’s Resolute desk — while signing orders in front of reporters, per Fox Newsand later shared its contents.

As I leave this sacred office, I wish you and your family all the best for the next four yearsrs,” Biden wrote per the outlet. “The American people — and people around the world — look to this House for stability in the inevitable storms of history, and my prayer is that the years ahead will be a time of prosperity, peace and grace for our nation.”

Before signing off, Biden added, “May God bless you and guide you as he has blessed and guided our beloved country since our founding.”
