Crescent City Connection closed until further notice; motorists are encouraged to stay at home

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has closed all Crescent City Connection Bridge lanes in both directions from 6 p.m. 18.45 Wednesday.

The bridge remains closed until further notice as officials monitor road conditions.

Motorists seeking an alternate route can use the Huey P. Long Bridge, which remains open with one lane available in each direction.

Drivers can access the bridge from US 90 on the West Bank and US 90 (Jefferson Highway) or South Clearview Parkway on the East Bank.
