Days after a historic winter storm dumped inches of snow on the New Orleans area, many schools across the region will remain closed Friday.

But some schools, including most local colleges and universities, will return to regular operations.

New Orleans

  • All primary schools are closed on Friday and reopen on Monday.

Jefferson Parish

  • Jefferson Parish Public Schools will announce Thursday afternoon whether schools will reopen Friday, a spokesman said.
