Alison Hammond lands another show away from This Morning as she is ‘poached’ from ITV | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

ITV presenter Alison Hammond is making another career move as she confirmed she is hosting another TV show. The This Morning host is set to team up with her son Aidan in a new travel series on BBC Two.

It was reported last summer that Alison had been offered a big money deal to front a BBC travel show titled Florida Unpacked. Before she rose to fame on Big Brother, Alison previously made a living as a travel agent.

The Birmingham-born star took to social media to share the exciting news, writing: “Florida on a budget with me and my son @aidanhammond555 coming soon @bbciplayer and bbc2. 27 Jan @rockoystermedia picture of @rankinarchive.”

In addition to her hosting duties on This Morning, Alison also co-hosts The Great British Bake Off on Channel 4 alongside Noel Fielding. She joined the show in 2023 after comedian Matt Lucas left the show.

It doesn’t stop there, as Alison also fronts the British reality documentary series, For the Love of Dogs, on ITV. She filled in for Paul O’Grady after his sudden death in March 2023.

Alison is a fan favorite on This Morning as she always co-hosts Friday mornings alongside Dermot O’Leary. She became the main presenter in 2021 and previously joined as a reporter in 2002.

According to Leeds liveAlison’s net worth is between £1 million and £4 million thanks to her many career roles in the entertainment industry.

For her role on This Morning, she earns around £600,000 a year. She recently took part in Birmingham’s Christmas Pantomine of Peter Pan and has a number of high paying lucrative brand deals.

Alison has worked with big names such as Crown Bingo and DFS Furnishings over the years and in 2022 she launched her own clothing line with In The Style.

Last year, Alison delved into the world of literature and wrote her first ever debut romcom, Bombshell, which has been praised by critics including Vanessa Feltz.

It looks like her new TV role with her son in a brand new 10-episode travel show that will follow the couple as they explore Florida on a shoestring budget.

The series aims to give holidaymakers advice on how to save money on food, expenses, hotel stays and travel.

Florida Unpacked airs on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
