Driver dies in a single car accident on rural areas in the US 31 – Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather | Indiana traffic

Westfield, Ind. (Wish) – A driver died in a single car accident on Thursday afternoon on a rural stretch in the US 31, says Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

The first alarms about the accident came around 5.50pm on Thursday. The sheriff’s office says no one else was in the vehicle when it crashed just south of the 226th street junction in the northbound roadways in the US 31.

Indiana Department of Transportation at. 21 Thursday indicated that the right, northbound lane remained closed.

The crash site is just over a kilometer north of the northern border of the city of Westfield and about 4 miles west of the town of Cicero.
