BLOOMINGTON — Indiana basketball added his second commitment in the 2025 class on Friday when the Bosnian flew Harun Zrno committed to the Hoosiers over Wisconsin, Creighton and Virginia.

Zrno, a prolific shooter, recently visited all four schools, including a swing through Bloomington for IU’s win against Southern Cal earlier this month.

“He’s 6-7, his body is ready to compete at the highest level,” Stevan Petrovic, Zrno’s adviser, told IndyStar. “He’s the type of player that can score at any time. He has very good percentages from beyond the 3-point line. He’s not just a scorer or shooter. He can drive, finish strong around the basket and he catches the alley oops. He’s a good defender. Loves to pass the ball to his teammates.

“He’s just an all-around player.”

Currently playing for BC Slavija, Zrno is averaging 18.3 points per game. game and is shooting 46.7% from behind the 3-point line. That’s in addition to 4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. match. He spent two years playing professionally in Latvia before returning to his native Bosnia this season.

Zrno’s film shows a player with tight shot mechanics, a good feel for space and a quick release. Stretching to 6-7, his high release point should make him difficult to guard at the college level.

He joins Montverde (Florida) Academy forward Trent Sisley, an Indiana native, in IU’s 2025 signing class. Zrno, who turns 21 this year, will be a rookie this fall.

Assistant coach Brian Walsh found himself recruiting Zrno to IU, though Petrovic emphasized that landing the 2025 wing was a group effort.

“Brian was absolutely fantastic and outstanding, not to mention others as well, the entire coaching staff,” Petrovic said. “But the fan base, the atmosphere at the game against USC, the facilities, talking to people around campus, in town, everything came together, to be honest with you.

“The history of the program was, I would say, the trigger for him in the decision.”
