Raiders looking Russell Wilson to pair with Pete Carroll

Mr. Unlimited In silver and black?

Maybe, if the newly clarified head coach Pete Carroll has something to say about it.

Russell Wilson is “a name I’ve heard to look at,” wrote The Athletic’s Jeff Howe About Raiders’ Quarterback needs. ”(He and Carroll have) repaired fences, per. Source, and Wilson could be a stop gap while Raiders is developing a long -term answer. ”

It’s a Super Bowl-Winning Tandem-Omend one that doesn’t have as much as sniffed the Lombardi trophy for more than a decade.

Wilson, 36, and Carroll, 72, dueled together at the helm of Seattle Seahawks from 2012-21.

During this 10-season span, the team went 104-53-1, won a Super Bowl in 2013 and an NFC championship in 2014.

Wilson won the Pro Bowl Honor’s nine times during their run together, but since their split – Quarterback was traded to Denver Broncos in March 2022 – neither he nor his former head coach has had much in the way of success to write home about.

In Mile High City, Mr. Unlimited more like Mr. Misfit, and everything was left to be desired; And during his most received campaign with Steelers in 2024, Wilson was just okay until he wasn’t.

Carroll had meanwhile, before accepting his head in Las Vegas on Friday, laid in the wait since the end of the 2023 season when Seattle’s brass decided he was no longer suitable for the job.

The Seahawks went on after another consecutive defective 9-8 campaign.

No matter what bad blood wasted at the end of their time together in Seattle seems to have been swept under the rug, and with Raiders now in full reconstruction mode coming out of a 4-13 campaign in 2024, their third consecutive Losing season- a temporary reunion makes sense.

Wilson is just the right amount of mediocre – he can buy a few games, maybe even a whole season if he has to, as Raiders sort their future plans under the center.

Whether Carroll and Las Vegas find their husband through the draft or free agency is still to see, but in Wilson, at least in the meantime, they have someone who knows the system.

Raiders owns the sixth election in April’s draft.

Wilson just received a gap of attention was out of season before Steelers signed him for a one -year contract, and he didn’t do much to build confidence under his stint there.

A reunion with his former coach in Sin City probably wouldn’t be so expensive.
