Trump arrives at Los Angeles to tour damage

President Donald Trump arrived in Los Angeles Friday afternoon to tour the destruction left by several deadly fires that broke out earlier this month.

Air Force One touched at LAX around 1 p.m. 14:55 with a delegation that included his wife, First Lady Melania Trump.

The president travels to the Pacific Palisades region to tour the destruction that Palisades Fire has left before they met with local lawmakers at a four Department Station in Los Angeles.

Trump returns to California to tour the fireplace in the midst of an ongoing word war with Government Head of Government Gavin Newsom, who has pushed back the president’s claims that the state’s fires were abused, or that California’s leaders hamstring fire fighting efforts.

Before arriving in California on Friday, Trump journalists in North Carolina told the federal government would not provide help with Los Angeles Recovery Efforts, unless new voters were adopted -Dlove and changes were made to the State Water Management System.

Trump has repeatedly claimed California could have given more water to firefighters fighting against palisades and Eaton -fires by simply turning a valve, a notion that Newsom and Water management experts have said is not true.

“Maybe the president just doesn’t know that there is no Spigot that can be turned to solve all the water problems he claims there is no one, as it relates to the state water system here in southern California,” Newsom said about these claims.

Newsom has also pushed back on accusations that California has incorrectly administered its forests, emphasizing that the state only oversees approx. 3% of its forest area, while the majority is under federal leadership.

Newsom said he would be willing to meet Trump at Lax at his arrival, but it was unclear if he would be welcomed on the tarmac when Air Force One arrived.

Photos shared by journalists on Earth showed Newsom, as promised, and waited at the airport for the arrival of his long -standing political rival.

Newsom greeted the president and the first lady, and the two then talked to awaiting the press.

“I appreciate the governor coming out and meeting me,” Trump said. “We want to get the problem solved … It’s like you were hit by a bomb.”

Newsom thanked the president for traveling to see the destruction of first hand and called for cooperation and unity that went on to rebuild the disposable -streamed communities reduced to rubble.

The president, first lady and governor then left Lax on the presidential helicopter, Marine One, to tour the destruction of the air before landing to continue on earth.
