Former ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ Star Apple Watts Admits She Was ‘Buzzing’ During 2022 That Almost Claimed Her Life

Previous “Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood” star Apple Watts Opens up about the near-fatal car accident that left her partially dependent on a wheelchair. Unfortunately, Watts admits she had been drinking before she got behind the wheel.

Reflecting on March 2022 Crash with Mark Laita on “Soft white underbelly,” She revealed, “I was a little buzzed, but it was hours later. I guess I fell asleep and ran into a truck … I was going 90 miles an hour. “

The collision caused her car to flip several times and burst into flames. Watts sustained a crushed spine, broken arm and fractured skull. After being lifted to Las Vegas University Medical Centershe remained in a coma for four months.

“When I woke up, I forgot everything and everyone,” she recalled.

Now almost three years later, Watts is sharing her harrowing experience to warn others.

“Don’t drink and drive. A lot of people died from these things,” she warned. She admits her lifestyle when it was normalized drink and drugs. “I thought I was bulletproof.”

Watts’ injury ended her career as a dancer, but she is determined to channel her experience into motivational speaking.

“I just want to save lives. I don’t want anyone going through what I went through,” she said.

Watts also shared that she wished her loved ones had earlier stepped in and stopped her from drinking. She admitted, however, that her short temper made them refrain from interfering with her habits.

“I regret all the things I took for granted before the accident,” she admitted, adding that her journey has taught her resilience and the value of life. Since debuting on Thursday, the interview has amassed over 276,000 views.
