JD Gunn called Panama’s national team

New England Revolution II goalkeeper JD Gunn returns to the international scene when he was named the Panama national team list prior to their friendly match against the Peru League 1 team Universitario on January 24.

Monday’s announcement comes after Panama City-native completed his first season in New England with 18 appearances, allowing 38 goals and noting 73 rescues.

This is the third time Gunn has been called to the Panama national team. The first came in October when he joined the nation for a couple of friendly matches against the United States and Canada. In November, he received another call when he joined Panama for a couple of Concacaf Nations League matches against Costa Rica.

Gunn will look to get his first performance for Panama as they travel to Estadio Monumental in Lima, Peru, to meet Universitario at. 20.30.
