Grizzlies 139-126 Pelicans (January 24, 2025) Game Recap

Memphis, Tenn .– Jaren Jackson Jr. Scored 15 of its 29 points in the third quarter, Desmond Bane had 20 points and 14 assists, and Memphis Grizzlies beat New Orleans Pelican’s 139-126 Friday night.

Luke Kennard added 27 points, making 7 of 9 3-Pointers and 10 of 14 total shots off the field to help Memphis win his fifth straight.

Dejointe Murray led the Pelicans with 26 points. Trey Murphy III and CJ McCollum had every 22, and Jordan Hawkins added 20.

The Pelicans were very dependent on their backcourt for a 71-62 break lead, with Murray scoring 17 points and McCollum added 15.

The game had the potential to highlight the top two elections in the NBA draft in 2019 -Zion Williamson, No. 1 election for Pelicans and Yes Morant, who became number two of Grizzlies. However, none of them were available with Williamson, who still ran up with conditioning, and Morant who recovered from a disease.
