Arizona Women’s Basketball VS No. 16 West Virginia: A Look At The Numbers

Last time Arizona Wildcats (13-8, 4-4 BIG 12) and West Virginia Mountaineers (16-3, 6-2 Big 12) met in Basketball for Women, Isis Beh Played for WVU and Arizona was the more highly respected team. The 7th-seeded Wildcats defeated No. 10 Seed Mountaineers in the opening round of the 2023 NCAA tournament. Wvu second star JJ quinin scored 19 points in that match.

WVU has everyone’s confidence. It is favored with 11.1 points in Tucson according to Hoop Stats here. The Statistics Service gives the mountaineer an 83 percent likelihood of winning and projecting the score as 70.9 points for WVU and 59.8 for Arizona.

Massey thinks the result will be closer. While the mountaineers still have 68 percent likelihood of winning, the most likely score is 68-61.
