Putin says Russia ‘Ready for Negotiations’ with Donald Trump on Ukraine

25th January (UPI) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said he is “ready for negotiations” with US President Donald Trump on how to end the war in Ukraine.

Putin made the comments Earlier this week during an interview about Russian State -TV.

“We believe in the current president’s statement about his readiness to work together. We are always open to this and ready for negotiations,” Putin said Friday during the interview.

“It would be better for us to meet, based on the realities of the day, to talk calmly.”

In February 2022, Putin launched a military invasion of Ukraine on a full scale that remains in progress.

IN Comments made in December, the Russian leader said afterwards that he should have started the invasion even earlier.

This week, he said he would call For sanctions against Russia if Moscow did not take steps to make an agreement to end the conflict.

“All of this is being said I will do Russia whose economy fails, and President Putin a very big advantage,” Trump said in his public negotiation About truth social.

“Sit out now and stop this ridiculous war. It only gets worse. If we don’t make a ‘deal’ soon, I have no choice but to put high levels of taxes, duties and sanctions against everything sold by Russia to the US and various other participating countries.

During the TV interview this week, Putin said the conflict might have been completely avoided if Trump had been in the oval office rather than former President Joe Biden.

“I can’t help but agree with (Trump) that if his victory had not been stolen in 2020, there might not have been the crisis in Ukraine, which occurred in 2022,” Putin said during the television performance.

Putin has previously suggested being open to conversations with Trump on the Ukraine front without offering details or a timeline.
