Wolves’ Anthony Edwards questionable with disease for nuggets -game

Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards are listed as questionable for Saturday afternoon’s match against the nuggets due to a disease, the team announced Friday.

Edwards haven’t missed a game this season. He missed only three of 82 matches in each of the previous two campaigns. During his five-year-old NBA career he has played in 362 of possible 378 games (96 percent) between regular season and playoffs, where his longest absence is a six-game stretch in December 2021. It’s very hard to keep him out by Minnesota’s lineup, even though he’s looked up.

Diseases can be difficult. If it’s serious enough, the wolves keep him out. But knowing what we know about Ant, he had to be pretty sick to miss this against Nikola Jokic and Denver.

23-year-old Edwards are an average of 26.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per year. Fight this season and shoots a career high 42.6 percent from three in almost ten attempts per year. Night. He leads the NBA in the overall triangles made of a fairly wide margin.

If Edwards are out, the wolves would be in big trouble against Jokic operating on the absolute top of his powers right now. They would probably start Nickeil Alexander-Walker in this case, and they would need a lot of scoring stage from players like Julius Randle, Jaden McDaniels and Naz Reid to even hang with nuggets.

Donte Divincenzo and Rookie Terrence Shannon Jr. is looking for wolves, but Friday brought encouraging news about Divincenzo and his toe stew.

Saturday’s game is set to tip around 2 p.m. 14 at Target Center. It will be national television at ABC.
