Ange Postecoglou -Reaf on terrible Tottenham -Collapse in defeat against Leicester: “I am judged by results”

Ange Postecoglou was left to fumble on the sidelines as his Tottenham-Side hosted a 1-0 lead to lose at home to fight Leicester City on Sunday.

In a low season, this was the worst result for injurious Tottenham, but Postecoglou praised his players for their efforts and admitted that he knows he will be sentenced by results.

Richarlison gave Spurs a 1-0 lead at half-time, but Leicester scored twice in four minutes at the start of the second half with Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khannous, who turned the game around for The Foxes, who was on a race with seven equal defeat before this.

Spurs have now won only one of their last 11 Premier League matches, with fans sang ‘We Want Levy Out’ with reference to President Daniel Levy throughout the other half.

Ange Postecoglou -Reafeat at shocking Tottenham defeat

“It hurts a lot because the players gave everything again,” Postecoglou told our partners in the UK at Sky Sports.

When asked about his work, they are judged unfairly because of all the injuries that Tottenham have suffered, the Australian coach did not hide the negative vibes who came his way.

“I’m a football manager. I am judged by results. That’s the way of the world, and that’s how I want to be convicted, ”said Postecoglou.

Summering of the game said Postecoglou time and time again he couldn’t ask for more from his players.

“We can look at a lot of things. As for efforts, I can’t ask more from this group. They just give everything they might. Things did not go our way today. We created some good opportunities, but unfortunately things did not fall for us. It is a very disappointing defeat, especially at home, but not because the players did not try. And that’s the most important thing, “Postecoglou said.

“The players give everything they can. I think that’s all we can ask for as a football club and me as manager. If there was more to give and they could find another way to do things but they try their hardest. That’s all everyone can ask for. ”

He was also asked about the goals that Tottenham admitted two in less than four minutes at the start of the second half.

“You can analyze the disappointing goal for us to admit, but again I thought we had enough chances in the game to get out on top,” said Postecoglou.

Fighting Tottenham’s players mentally with the course of defeat in the middle of so many injuries?

“There is no doubt that there is. When you are in this situation, they try as hard as they can, and sometimes it doesn’t give you the clarity of decision making, ”said Postecoglou. “Again, all you can ask for is people to do as much as they can, and from my perspective that’s what I see. I see a group of players giving everything they can. I know it will turn. We get some players back. Today we were short. The next few weeks some really important players coming back for us that I know will help this group. ”

“We’ve been going for two months. They have put a huge effort on Thursday night to get us the result, make sure we are in Europe and they had to back up it today. There are at least two or three players that were not 100 percent, but they gave everything they can. ”
