Washington Commandants @ Philadelphia Eagles (-6) (Total: 47.5)

Storyline of the Game: This NFC East Rubber -kamp plays out on the biggest scene of the conference

The first meeting between these two franchises in week 11 took place at Linc, where Eagles defeated a 10-6 deficit on the way into the fourth quarter to secure the victory. Saquon Barkley delivered a heroic last frame that rushed six times in 76 yards and two touchdowns to seal the victory.

The commanders flipped the manuscript as the series switched to Washington in week 16. Despite falling behind 14-0 early, they mounted a dramatic comeback behind Jayden Daniels. Rookie quarterback threw in 139 yards and three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, including the game-winning score with less than 10 seconds left, in a wild game containing six revenue by Washington.

That week, however, 16 Matchup came with a significant warning: Jalen Hurts was knocked out in the first quarter, forcing Kenny Pickett to step in. This raises the question of whether the commanders can repeat their success against a fully healthy Eagles team and certainly another victory after the season in a hostile environment.

These two stored franchises have not crossed trails in the playoffs since 1991, but if their 2024 matchups are any indication, this last showdown promises between Bitter NFC East Rivals to be the most intense yet.

Matchups to see: Commanders QB Jayden Daniels vs. Eagles LB Zack Baun

Jayden Daniels, Frontrunner for Offensive Rookie of the Year, has delivered a historic 2024 campaign that has earned a total of 90.5 overall class-the second highest ever of a rookie quarterback in the PFF era (since 2006). Daniels has continued to shine in the playoffs and led all passers -by in the divisional round with an 83.6 passing the character against Lions.

Defensively, the Eagles are rooted by Zack Baun, NFL’s highest classified linebacker (90.2) in 2024. Baun’s elite coverage instincts and expectations got him a league-best 91.4 cover quality, with five forced revenue in the coverage this season. It included a crucial screen-facing fumble, the last time these teams collided in week 16.

A late Rams Touchdown in the Divisional Round caught a 7-point cover from Eagles and dropped their ATS record at home this season to 5-5. However, Philadelphia has hosted six of their last eight games since December covering four of these competitions (4-2 ATS).

Winning straight as the dog in each of their playoff matches marks Washington’s fourth even victory as the road dog this season and a 66.7% cover rate that binds them to League’s lead in both. With a 5-2-1 ATS record, when the gifted points this season, PFF’s betting model shows a 1.2% PFF edge leaning against the commanders of +6.

Best effort: RB Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles-Over 24.5 Carrier (-125)

The ever-dynamic Saquon Barkley made headlines this week when Draftkings opened his rushing yardage line on an eye-popping 130.5 yards the highest total ever posted by the sports book. Although this number may seem high, it is good within reach of Barkley that has collected 296 rushing yards against Washington this season. However, targeting of his volume can give a safer angle.

Barkley has surpassed this dangerous trial line in each match against the commanders this season as well as in each of his last four excursions that accumulate over 110 carry during this stretch. Philly’s commitment to the earth game has been central to their success as they stand as the only team in the NFL with an running game percentage exceeding 50% this year.

Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs (-2) (Total: 48.5)

Storyline of the Game: Patrick Mahomes vs. Josh Allen

The ninth meeting between Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen is set to add another exciting chapter to their stored rivalry. The two quarterbacks have a 4-4 record in head-to-head matchups, although Allen’s success has primarily come in the regular season. However, the autumn period tells another story with Mahomes and Chiefs, which has a 3-0 advantage, including a victory in the AFC championship in 2020.

Despite the playoff difference, Allen has had his moments in this rivalry, especially at Arrowhead Stadium. He has won three of his five career games in Kansas City and posted an impressive 90.3 overall character in these matchups.

Buffalo enters this matchup that seeks redemption after last season’s heartbreaking three-point loss in the divisional round. If their performance in week 11 against Chiefs on Arrowhead is any indication, the bills seem ready for the challenge. In this game, Josh Allen delivered a masterful performance and recorded five big-time throws with zero turnover-worthy plays and served an impressive 83.7 PFF-retained character.

Matchups to see: QB Patrick Mahomes vs. Bills’ secondary

Mahomes has built his inheritance on expertise after the season and produced some of the most notable measurements in the NFL history when the effort is highest. His 90.5 playoffs passing character are the best in the PFF era (since 2006), powered by 33 Big-Time Throw and a minuscule 1.8% Retail-worthy game percentage of 300-Plus Playoff-Dropbacks lowest among qualified Quarterbacks.

In the divisional round, Mahomes showed his signature gloss with three big time throws, which set the tone for another deep playoff push. This week he faces Buffalo’s two-high shell, a look that the bills deployed at the fourth highest rate in the league this season. It is a challenge Mahomes is well equipped for, ranking as NFL’s eighth highest graded passersby against two high coverage.

The bill’s match in the coverage this season (31 in team cover quality of 38.9) could prove to be expensive against an experienced playoff practitioner like Patrick Mahomes. These concerns are only increased by injuries in the secondary where Taylor Rapp already excluded, and Christian Benford is still in the concussion protocol from Saturday. Against Mahomes, who thrive on exploiting defensive weaknesses, Buffalo’s undermanned secondary meeting can a steep uphill.

Despite entering the post-season with only a 3-7 ATS record, Josh Allen and Bills have covered both of their playoffs entering the AFC championship. In the divisional round, Allen overcomes his 0-3 ATS mark as an underdog after the season and knocked Baltimore as 1.5-point dogs.

After covering as 2.5-point favorites at home in Buffalo during the regular season, the bills will seem to repeat this success in Kansas City, where Allen has a positive 3-2 ATS record all the time against Mahomes on Arrowhead. However, none of these covers have come in the mail season despite being gifted point twice.

Conversely, Mahomes and Chiefs have obviously owned this rivalry in the post season with an unnoticed 3-0 ATS brand. However, 2024 has not treated them well in the bet markets when playing at home. At Arrowhead this season, Kansas City has gone just 4-5 ATS, including their failed coverage in the divisional round. But it could still present a problem to a Bills team that has only a 1-3 ATS brand like road dogs this season.

Best effort: WR Khalil Shakir, Buffalo Bills – Over 5.5 Receptions

According to PFF’s most important insightKhalil Shakir is ready for success in a favorable matchup against Chiefs Secondary. Shakir ranks 17. Among broad recipients in goal rate on pressured passing plays, which is well-run against a Chiefs defense that generates the eighth highest pressure rate in the NFL.

Shakir has been a reliable option for the bills this mail season, which exceeds this reception line in both playoff games. With a league-high 43% of Chiefs’ permitted receptions that would go to slot recipients, Shakir should find plenty of options, especially after occupying nine catches in their week 11-match.
