Eagles, commanders come into a tussle (again) during Sunday’s NFC Championship Games

Philadelphia – The Eagles And Washington commanders have had their share of skirmishes and bad blood this season. These bad feelings reappeared in the second quarter of Sunday’s NFC championship game at Lincoln Financial Field. This time, the excitement involved two players in one of the game’s most compelling matchups.

With 1:45 back in the quarter, the Eagles got up in the formation “Brotherly Shove” after commanders Cornerback Marshon Lattimore was called on for defensive passport interference in the final zone while covering the broad recipient Devonta Smith on the previous spectacle.

When Quarterback Jalen hurt, a 1-yard touchdown scored, Lattimore and Eagles Wide Recipient AJ Brown got in a pushing match after Brown continued to block Lattimore on the play. Lattimore’s helmet came off under the scrub. The two continued to jaw against each other until officials and players intervened to break the melee. Lattimore was called for unnecessary roughness, the lonely punishment of the game and his first of the game.

Eagles tried a two-point conversion using the “Brotherly Shove” formation again, but was not successful, leaving the score of 20-12.

In the week 16 meeting between the two teams, tension also ran high. Eagles Safety CJ Gardner-Johnson was thrown out after receiving two unsportsmanlike behavior sanctions for the mockery. Several players told NJ Advance Media this week that there was an emphasis on limiting the Recycle Bin as they thought the commanders could try to provoke sanctions and create situations where players, like Gardner-Johnson, could face draft.

If the Eagles continue to expand their lead, the commanders could find themselves more and more frustrated, and a similar situation such as the one involving Lattimore could happen again.
