Pricing season is in full swing.

With the Golden Globes already passed and the Oscars casting a golden statue-shaped shadow over Hollywood, the music industry is making sure to keep the Grammys top of mind.

CBS, which broadcasts the Grammy Awards, announced the first round of performers for the show in a release Friday. Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Doechii, Raye, Sabrina Carpenter, Shakira and Teddy Swims – all nominated themselves – will perform this year.

While Eilish is a nine-time Grammy winner and up for seven of the awards this year, the list also features newcomers like Boone and Swims, both first-time nominees in the Best New Artist category. Roan and Carpenter are also prime candidates for emerging artists, though die-hard fans will tell you they’ve been on the scene for a long time before fully achieving the mainstream success they saw in 2024.

The performances will run the musical gamut and reflect a varied year in music, where female narrators held the reins, country ruled the charts and genre-bending was the name of the game.

When are the Grammys?

The Grammy Awards, which will be broadcast live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2, arrive against the backdrop of a city in crisis. As wildfires continue to ravage Southern California, the disaster will undoubtedly take center stage.

“The upcoming GRAMMY Awards will not only be about celebrating and honoring the best in music this year. They will also show how the power of music can help rebuild, uplift and support those in need,” said Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. in the publication. “We are thrilled that so many artists in our community are coming together at this time to show support for their fellow musicians and others affected by the recent wildfires.”

“In order to provide maximum support not only to members of the music community, but also to all those affected by the crisis in Los Angeles and the city as a whole, many events that traditionally make up GRAMMY Week have been canceled or reformatted,” the release continued .

Who is the Grammy host?

The evening will be anchored by Trevor Noah, who is completing his fifth consecutive year as host.
