Chiefs LB Nick Bolton isn’t surprised by the Bills’ success this season

The Buffalo Bills made several roster changes in the offseason after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in last year’s divisional round. Their improved record and immediate AFC Championship Game appearance surprised many critics aside from their opponent on Sunday.

Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton believes the Bills were always more challenging regardless of the change in personnel. During his press conference Wednesday, he credited the front office and coaching staff.

“Honestly, not for me; They got a great offensive coordinator, head coach, front office, guys, they did a good job of filling their holes and filling their needs when the season started and then coming in, got some guys before the deadline,” Bolton said. “So they did a good job of constructing the roster to succeed and allow running backs. Quarterback legs do a good job without turning the ball over. I’ve really gotten used to these mistakes. I think they’re the best since 2012, I think, in revenue margin or something like that. So that has definitely helped them a lot as well. “

Bolton has been an essential part of Steve Spagnuolo’s defense and will have his hands full with the Bills’ high-powered offense. The loss earlier in the season at Buffalo is still fresh in the minds of every Chiefs player going into Sunday.
