Patrick Mahomes’ baby video debuts online after the birth of baby No. 3

Patrick Mahomes shared a video of a tender moment he had with his kids after Saturday’s NFL game.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was joined in the press room by his family, Brittany Mahomes and children, daughter Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, 2.

Mahomes spoke to the media after the Chiefs won 23-14 in the divisional round playoff game against the Houston Texans, sparking much debate over allegations that the NFL referees favored Mahomes with their calls. While the subject of refereeing was not addressed at the press conference, the video of Mahomes’ children managed to steal the show.

Brittany showed up to the game just days after giving birth to the couple’s third child, Golden Raye. Their second daughter was born on January 12, the couple announced on Instagram.

As Mahomes walked off the stage to leave the press room, Sterling can be heard asking him, “Why are you talking so much?”

The sweet moment was captured by photojournalist Emily Curiel and submitted to X, formerly Twitter, where it was later shared by Mahomes, who captioned the post with a love-heart emoji.

“Why do we talk so much,” Mahomes replied to his daughter as he scooped her up in his arms and she nuzzled into his neck. They went out with Brittany and Bronze leading the way.

What happens next

The Chiefs are one step closer to playing in their third straight Super Bowl after defeating the Texans on Saturday.

The Chiefs will next enter their seventh AFC Championship round and will host the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.

The other two teams fighting for a spot in February’s Super Bowl are the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders.

New Orleans will host Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9 at Caesars Superdome. Rapper Kendrick Lamar will perform the halftime show.
