Andy Reid and these 7 Utah ties are headed to the Super Bowl – Deseret News

Andy Reid, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Super Bowl — it’s a combination that’s about as common as peanut butter and jelly these past few years.

Or even better a double burger with cheese.

The Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills 32-29 in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday in another thriller, sealing Kansas City’s spot in its fifth Super Bowl appearance in the past six years.

The Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9.

It will be a rematch of Super Bowl LVII when the Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35.

Philadelphia advanced this time by beating the Washington Commanders 55-23 in the NFC Championship on Sunday.

Kansas City, with Reid at the helm, will have its shot at a historic third consecutive Super Bowl title, something that has never happened before.

With the Chiefs making another Super Bowl, that means there will once again be a strong Utah contingent for the NFL title game.

Including Reid, the former BYU player and graduate assistant, there will be six Utah ties with the Chiefs at Super Bowl LIX, while the Eagles also have one former Ute on their roster.

Here’s a look at the full list of Utah ties heading to Super Bowl LIX.
