Mahomes gathered chiefs for a 38-35 win over Eagles two years ago in Arizona and a 25-22 overtime victory over San Francisco in Las Vegas last season.

The twice Super Bowl and NFL MVP led Kansas City to a 32-29 win over Josh Allen and the Bills in the AFC championship match on Sunday, eliminating Buffalo for the fourth time in five years.

“It’s not about one guy, it’s not about a few guys, it’s about the whole team,” Mahomes said.

Earlier, Eagles passed by Washington Commanders 55-23 in the NFC title match behind seven hazardous touchdowns, including three from Barkley and Hurts.

It will be the 10th Super Bowl-Revanche match and the fifth within a five-year period. The winners of the four re -enact within five years were the teams that won the first meeting, including Chiefs over the 49ers last season.

Barkley had another 60-yard touchdown race plus two other rushing scores, and ended with 118 yards. His third td from 60 yards or more in two weeks came on Philadelphia’s first game from Scrimmage. No other player has three TDs of at least 60 yards in a playoff career.

“I’ve always dreamed of it, but the dream wasn’t about just getting there, it was to win it,” Barkley said about the Super Bowl.

As he played with an injured knee, Hurts threw 246 yards and a touchdown to go with his three fast scores.

“What about our quarterback,” shouted coach Nick Sirianni from the stage after the award of George Halas Trophy. “He is a stud. I knew he would play that way. I knew it. Didn’t doubt him. All he does is to win.”

The 55 points that Philadelphia has scored is most of any team in a conference championship game since the merger in 1970.

Eagles (17-3) aim for their second Super Bowl title in five attempts. Backup Quarterback Nick Foles led them to a 41-33 win over Tom Brady and New England Patriots seven years ago. Foles handed over the owner Jeffrey Lurie Halas trophy.

“We’re there to win it,” Lurie said of returning to the Super Bowl.

Chiefs (17-2) have 4-2 in the Super Bowl and play their fourth performance in five years.
