Arizona Weather Forecast: Rain in the forecast for Monday in Phoenix

Phoenix’s highest chance of rain this winter season is approaching!

Arizona are used to dry weather, but this 156-day stretch in the valley has been tough on residents. The last measurable rainfall was in August last year.

What they say:

“Overall, precipitation and snow accumulation Monday – Thursday is not expected to be very high for the lower deserts. These two graphs show precipitation probabilities >0.01″ and >0.25” for a few locations. You will notice the probability of >0.25 “is quite low,” National Weather Service said on X.

The low in Phoenix on January 26 was 43.

What we can expect:

Rain is expected to begin Sunday afternoon/evening, the NWS said.

On Monday we will see around 40% chance of rain in the country Valley with a high temperature of nearly 60°F.

“On/off periods of showers are expected across the region beginning today in SE CA and early Monday in south central AZ. Most lower desert locations are looking at rain amounts up to 0.20” from Mon-Mon. The high AZ terrain will see locally higher amounts,” the agency said.
