3.8 Earthquake in the order of magnitude strikes off the coast of New England

An earthquake of 3.8 hit Monday morning with shaking felt in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and an hour away in Boston.

The earthquake was centered 10 kilometers southeast of York Harbor, Maine.

Houses and businesses in Concord, Massachusetts, reporting to feel the earthquake, according to local police.

“Earthquakes are unusual, but not unheard of along the Atlantic,” the US geological study said.
