Caleb Love Nails Half Court Buzzer Beater, sends Arizona to overtime vs. Iowa State

The night of Big Monday has been a thriller between Arizona and Iowa State. Two teams are struggling near the top of the BIG 12, Iowa State, to escape Tuscon with a quality gain. Just a few seconds was between them and a happy plane left hope.

But up two, Joshua Jefferson Went one of two from the free throwing line to extend the lead to three. Caleb Love Received the subsequent inbound passports and the magic happened. For a moment the game went on overtime.

Love was forced to pull well behind the Arizona logo, apparently being a prayer. They were answered as the ball rattled into the hoop. The McKale Center was sent to a madness and five minutes more basketball is played.

Before it made half court, Love was to have a terrible shooting day. It was just his second three-point brand at night on 12 attempts. Getting to the edge was not a problem where he shoots 4-7 inside the arch.

For the most part, this has been the story of Love’s College basketball career. At times he seems to be one of the best scorers in college basketball. On other nights he can’t buy a bucket. And then love sometimes finds a way to combine them into both. That’s what happened Monday night.

Arizona will have to regate their feelings as there is five minutes more basketball back. Getting a win would be huge for their NCAA tournament resume and needs a signature moment. To dismantle Iowa State would certainly qualify as cyclones are currently ranked No. 3 and has only two losses.
