The latest drone observations in New Jersey were approved by the federal government, the White House said Tuesday, removing theories – including some floating on the campaign track by US President Donald Trump – about the mysterious events.
“After research and study, the drones who flew over New Jersey in large numbers were authorized to be flown by a few research and various other reasons.
“Many of these drones were also hobbyists, recreational and private individuals who enjoy flying drones,” the White House said press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Tuesday.
“It got worse because of curiosity. This was not the enemy, ”she added, saying that the news came directly from the president.
The declaration repeats closely remarks from former US President Joe Biden’s administration last year, who tried to tape conspiracy theories around a series of drone observations over New Jersey and other areas of the northeast.
Trump previously suggested – without mentioning evidence – that the US military knew where drones started from and intentionally withheld information about observations.
