Live Updates: The White House defends Trump’s financing break

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Hope to meet with President Donald Trump in Washington already next week, according to two US officials who are familiar with a preliminary planning for the trip.

Should the trip get together within that timeframe, Netanyahu could be the first foreign leader to meet with Trump in the White House since his dedication last week. The officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because the planning remains tentative, details said details could be arranged when Trump’s special Middle East -Distribution, Steve Witkoff, traveling to Israel this week for conversations with Netanyahu and other Israeli officials.

Trump teased the upcoming visit to a conversation with journalists aboard the Air Force One, but did not provide planning information. “I want to talk to Bibi Netanyahu in the not too distant future,” he said.

Netanyahus plans were first reported by Axios. Netanyahus spokesman, Omer Dostri, said Monday on Social Platform X that the Israeli leader has not yet received an official invitation to the White House.

However, an Israeli official said Netanyahu is expected to go to the White House in February but did not have a date. This official spoke on condition of anonymity pending an official message.
