Washington, DC – In accordance with President Donald J. Trump’s recent executive order, the Ministry of the Interior is proud to announce the implementation of naming, honoring the legacy of American greatness, already in action.

As directed by the president, the Mexico Golf will now officially be known as the America Golfen, and North America’s highest top will again bear the name Mount McKinley. These changes confirm the nation’s obligation to preserve the extraordinary heritage of the United States and ensure that future generations of Americans celebrate the legacy of their heroes and historical assets.

The US Board of Geographical Names under the purpose of the Ministry of the Interior is working quickly to update the official federal nomenclature of the geographical name information system to reflect these changes that are immediately in force for federal use.

America Gulf

The Gulf of America, formerly known as Mexico Golf, is one of the most vital assets in the country’s history and economy. The Gulf, which spans 1,700 miles of the US coastline and includes nearly 160 million acres, has been a critical artery for America’s trade, energy production and maritime industries.

From its rich fishing, which operates local economies, to its huge reserves of oil and natural gas, which has given rise to innovation and prosperity, the Gulf of America has consistently been a cornerstone of the country’s growth. Its ports rank among the largest and most impressive in the world and connect US goods to global markets. Recognizes golf’s sustained contribution to the economic strength and vitality of the United States, President Trump’s Directive confirms its central importance to the nation by officially renaming that of America.

Mount McKinley

Mount McKinley, North America’s highest peak, stands as a monument to the strength and decision of President William McKinley, the 25th president of the United States. President McKinley led the heroic nation to victory in the Spanish-American war and promoted an era of rapid economic growth and territorial gains for the nation. Tragically murdered while in office, President McKinley’s leadership and sacrifice remain a testimony of American resilience and success.

In 1917, the country officially honored President McKinley through the naming of North America’s highest top. Even after almost a century, President Obama’s administration in 2015 removed the McKinley name from the federal nomenclature, a violation of President McKinley’s life, his results and his victim. The decision to return the top to its historical name is a meaningful recognition of President McKinley’s lasting inheritance.

A commitment to inheritance

The interior department remains obliged to maintain all aspects of President Trump’s executive order, ensuring that the names we use reflect the values, victims and achievements that define our nation.
